Coach Brittany Cantu attended Business Careers/ Holmes High School in San Antonio, Texas from 2001-2005. There she lettered for volleyball and softball. She was considered to be utility player for the Huskies including: Pitcher, First, Second, and Short receiving multiple accolades including: All Tournament awards, All District awards, and the 2005 All City Utility Player of the Year  award. 

 

After competing for Holmes High School, Coach Brittany furthered her education and playing ability at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Coach Brittany Cantu played under Head Coach Lori Cook, 2005 Aeropostle Southland Conference Coach of the Year, receiving multiple accolades in the Division I Aeropostle Southland Conference including: Hitter of the Week, Freshman of the Year, Honorable Mention 3rd base, Division I National Homerun Champions (holding the record for 105 homeruns in 51 games averaging 2.06 homeruns per game), and breaking a school record going 3-3 with 2 hr, 1 grandslam, and 8rbi's in one game . 

 

She had the privilege to coach at the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2010-2011 gaining experience and exposure by Head Coach Lori Cook, Stephanie Hughes, and Mitchell Cheatham. In 2015, Coach Brittany Cantu graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor Degree in English and a minor in Religious Studies.

From There, Coach Brittany Cantu was employed by TNT Fastpitch Training, where she trained many athletes in private lessons, camps, clinics, and team training. Coach Cantu knew that it was time to open up a school of fastpitch where kids can grow in a healthy environment where they can perfect their craft. In addition, TNT Fastpitch Academy was founded on October 26, of 2016. 

 

TNT Fastpitch has been successfully in business for several years and has graduated over 30 plus athletes with softball scholarships to schools including: The University Of Texas at San Antonio, Appalachian State University, The University of Incarnate Word, Colorado State University, Texas A&M International, Angelo State University, Schreiner University, and Hardin Simmons University.

 

On personal note, November 23, 2021, Coach Cantu married the love her life, Ryan Wiggins, where they become united before the Lord.
